Firm Profile

After graduating from Willamette University College of Law, Ann Fisher joined the litigation department of a well-respected multi-state law firm. Armed with a solid background in business litigation, she left to join a boutique commercial practice firm to concentrate on business litigation and commercial law. Her business clients included small closely held corporations, a Fortune 500 company and individuals seeking business advice regarding contracts, human resource policies, buy/sells, mergers, and commercial collection issues.

Focusing on business issues and litigation for over 18 years, Ms. Fisher is experienced in such matters as helping new entities organize, performing “corporate secretarial” functions, as well as collections, contract development and negotiations, and addressing other matters facing businesses today.

Ms. Fisher has been involved in the electric energy business since 1988 when she joined Portland General Electric company’s legal department to work with industrial and commercial customers and emerging business groups. While there, she was involved in an assortment of issues including development of strategies on how the utility should respond to the coming energy deregulation.

In 1993, a national law firm asked Ms. Fisher to join its energy practice group specifically to serve a group of large generating public utility districts. There, she participated in Bonneville Power Administration power and transmission rate cases in addition to other state and federal regulatory matters, successfully obtained more favorable rate treatment for her clients.

In 1996, Ms. Fisher started Ann Fisher Law.
